Shauna R Brummet, PhD, President and CEO of the BioHio Research Park and Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Animal Science hads been named to the Governance Board of I-Corps@Ohio, a statewide, university based technology evaluation and development program. Also among those appointed was Art Gooray, PhD, Senior Technology Licensing Manager,Technology Commercialization Office.

EnergyEne Inc, under the leadership of CEO Katrina Cornish, is continuing its development of guayule, as an alernative to natural rubber with a radiation attenuation glove that doesn't trigger latex allergies and has better polymer-filler interaction, according to CEO Katrina Cornish.
The Wooster company, incorporated in 2013, is focused on high-performance latex products. Cornish said EnergyEne currently is in due diligence for investment and in discussions to secure a larger acreage of existing guayule. The Ohio State University is part owner of EnergyEne, Inc. USPOULTRY and the USPOULTRY Foundation presented Dr. Daral Jackwood as the 2018 recipient of the annual Charles Beard Research Excellence Award. Dr. Jackwood is a professor in the Department of Veterinary Preventive Medicine at The Ohio State University at the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center in Wooster, OH. He is CEO of LARAD, Inc, which is located at BioHio Research Park. The award is named in honor of Dr. Charles Beard, former director of the Southeast Poultry Research Laboratory and former vice president of research at USPOULTRY. Read more...
